Maraska Maraschino CherriesThese cherries are from the coastal region of Croatia known as Zadar where it is reputed to attain it's finest flavor. The name marasca comes from the Italian word amarasca, from amaro, which stems from the Latin word amrus (meaning 'bitter'). The cherries have a slightly bitter taste which makes it ideal for fine cherry liqueur and cocktail cherries. This product contains 50% candied cherries and 50% Marasca sour cherry syrup with no artificial
