When purchasing a Half Pig from P&K Farms, you are guaranteed a freezer full of homegrown, fresh vacuum-sealed pork deliciousness. We utilize a local USDA-certified processor that offers a variety of cut and product options ranging from boston butt, ham, pork belly, bacon, country ribs, pork chops, sausages, etc.
Final payment will be determined when the pig is processed and includes all processing fee's @ $7.25/lb (Based on Hanging weight at time of processing.) With no additional processing fee this price is factored in @ $7.25/lb
There is a $200 non-refundable deposit at the time of order. It is deducted from your final total, due on delivery.
A whole hog typically weighs around 160-200 lbs (hanging weight). Depending on the types of cuts, you will get about 100-125 lbs of meat (You can half this for a half share) Overall ordering a whole/half animal will save you around 20% on upfront cost versus ordering individual cuts during the year.
Not sure what to get? Don’t worry! We provide you with a cut sheet, which allows you to select all the ways you want to receive your pork. We take it to the processor, they do their work, and then we will arrange drop-off or pick-up the following week. We are more than happy to walk you through the process of filling out your cut sheet (We recommend it!) and give our insight on how your family can best enjoy a P&K Family Farms Hog.
