If you fit a de-cat or high flow sports catalyst fitted to your car, you could run the risk of having an engine light turning on. This is due to the fact that the sensor is reading an increase in the CO2 readings from the enhanced gas flow, and would identify this as a fault, and put a warning light on the dashboard.

This lambda sensor is a 3 piece lambda O2 extension with a 90 degree adapter and a strainer and helps to solve this problem by taking the sensor out of the direct gas flow, thus fooling it into thinking that gas levels are not increased.

The O2 sensor has a 400 Cell (CPI) mini calatalytic converter to clean up the exhaust gas flow.

Fitting a sensor extender helps to reduce the risk of engine management lights (EML), however it is not a guaranteed solution as this can differ from model to model.
