This True Ames PHD Volan Single Fin is fuller than normal leading edge, combined with the slender tipped, but full-based template targets smooth rail turns while harnessing maximum power. Usually powering a "hull" type shape or mid-length surfboard, this fin excels in combination with thin rails and vee to flat bottom. It has been noted that this design: feels good at low speed, has heaps of power with the stiffer flex, has proper hold in all phases of a turn, and has a perfectly balanced feel.
