Sizing: The Elastic waist skirt MINI is the children’s version of the same design. A playful, knee-length skirt with generous width, an elasticated waistband and large patch pockets, offering comfort and freedom of movement. Includes sewing patterns for ages 3–4, 5–6, 7–8 and 9–10 years.

Suggested Fabric:

Light to midweight fabrics such as cotton poplin, denim, wool, faux leather, cotton twill.

Fabric Requirements: Based on non-directional fabric. See the layout page in the assembly instructions for details.

** you can use less fabric if you split the waistband and add a 1 cm seam allowance to join the 2 parts together. See the layout page for examples.

You will also need:

• Fusible interfacing
• Thread
• Elastic tape width 10cm: XS 70 cm, S 80 cm,  M 90 cm, L 100 cm, XL 110 cm, 2XL 120 cm,  3XL 130 cm
• MINI Elastic tape width 5 cm: Length 60-65 cm. Measure the waist and add 3 cm

Option: If you cannot find an elastic waistband this wide you can use any width you prefer. But make sure to reduce the width of the fabric waistband to this formula - The width of the elastic waistband x 2 + 2,5 cm. 

Ability: Very Easy / Beginner

Make more with the pattern:

• Wear it as a dress together with a Cuff top or V-neck cuff top in the same fabric
• Shorten to a knee length skirt
• Play around with different width of the elastic
• Use contrasting colour thread for your stitchings
