Vendela is a long, softly tailored dress with wide, flowing sleeves, designed for moments that call for something a little special. The front features an elegant cowl neckline and is cut on the bias, allowing the fabric to drape beautifully and move effortlessly. The back is cut on the straight grain and finished neatly with bias tape at the neckline. With no zips or buttons, Vendela simply slips on for an effortlessly elegant look. The most important step is cutting the front on the bias; once that is done, the dress comes together surprisingly quickly. For a refined finish, complete the hems with a rolled hem. As with all bias-cut garments, it is best to let the dress hang and check the hemline before finishing, as the front and back may settle unevenly.

Suggested Fabrics: Choose supple, luxurious fabrics that drape elegantly and highlight the lines of the design. Satin, acetate, charmeuse and silks such as crepe de chine are ideal choices, offering fluid movement and a subtle sheen. Avoid fabrics that are too stiff or heavy, as they will not drape well and may detract from the elegance of the bias cut.
