A phenomenal piece to behold, this original 1950's evening gown, rendered in forest green tulle, sea green lace and lined in fern green rayon, accented by delicate silver claw set rhinestones, is the perfect piece for that special occasion.

The strapless neckline of the dress, features a straight cut, which is accented by pleated and gathered layers of tulle in a tiered design along the bust-line, set off by scattered silver claw set rhinestones. The fitted and boned bodice, boasts a fern green rayon lining, which is apparent behind the sea green lace overlay. The cinched in waistline, is set off by a delicate rolled piped detail, which accents the incredible full circle cut of the skirt. The skirt-line features a forest green tiered tulle design, which is decorated with scattered silver claw set rhinestones along the central part of the front. The tiered tulle skirt is framed by a lace overlay, which drapes along either side of the front and continues along the back of the skirt. The skirt features a rayon lining, a simple layer of tulle, above which a layer of pleated tulle and is finished with a the lace overlay. This piece has been photographed with a medium petticoat for added volume along the skirt-line, this is not included within the listing.

Closures: This dress fastens at the side with a 13 inch metal zip and a hook and eye

Condition: This dress is in near perfect vintage condition. The claw settings along the rust have all rusted, and leave rust marks beneath the rhinestones. Some very gentle colour variation to the tiered tulle design of the skirt, where some layers appear more vibrant than others, this appears to be the effect of prolonged exposure to sunlight during storage. A small rust marks along the back of the bodice just above the waistline. A very small rust mark along where the original hook and eye was positioned above the side zip. Natural and light colour variation to the rayon lining. These minor issues are in no way apparent when the dress is being worn and only noticeable upon closer inspection. Please refer to the photographs, as they form part of the condition report.
