A smaller scale and tonal version of Rosea, this imaginary botanical was inspired by a vintage illustration of the tropical Autograph Tree (or Clusia Rosea), featuring its unusual seed pod forms. It was painted in a watered-down gouache paint, and overlaid with linear detailing in coloured pencil, giving the flowers and leaves an almost three-dimensional quality. This print is part of the Floral Wonderland narrative of the AW24 collection, which celebrates a world of never-before-seen species and hybrid varieties created from the Designer’s imagination – a real carnival of nature.
