"Satin & Tulle " Vintage late 1940's Turquoise Satin & Cotton Tulle Dress UK 8 US 4

This truly wonderful late 1940's satin dress in an eye-catching shade of turquoise blue satin, accented by white cotton tulle and satin appliqués, is a rare piece to behold and never again find.

Her thin shoulder straps set off the sweetheart neckline and wonderful décolletage. Her elegant fitted boned bodice, is accented by a gathered pleat along the centre front of the bust-line, and decorated with a panel of white tulle, embellished with embroidered satin appliqués.
Her cinched in waistline, sets off the elegant fit and flair cut of the skirt, which boasts a matching tulle and satin appliqués detail radiating around the skirt at a titled angle, which draws the eye back to the incredible silhouette.
Lined in another layer of cotton tulle, a rayon layer and an internal cotton lining.

Closures: This dress fastens with a 13.5 inch metal zip and a single hook and eye to the side of the bodice

Condition: This dress is in near perfect vintage condition, with one small hole to the cotton tulle panel along the back of the dress, this is well concealed against the cotton tulle lining, and only apparent under closer inspection. Very light and natural impression marks to the satin. This is in no way apparent when the dress is being worn.
