Julia is the ultimate pattern for a cosy winter sweater, and when made a size up, she doubles as a comfy coat. With a front design cut both vertically and horizontally, she’s ideal for colour blocking and adding a playful twist to your wardrobe.

The pockets are cleverly built into the horizontal seam, and the silhouette features slightly dropped shoulders, long sleeves, and a stand-up collar. A contrasting button placket with snaps adds an extra pop of detail, while the elasticated hems at the sleeves and waist give Julia a snug, finished look.

Important to Know: Atelier Jupe patterns are designed to be traced before use. The pattern pieces are overlapping and printed on both sides of the sheet, so tracing is essential.

This approach allows you to preserve the original sheet, make multiple sizes, and easily adjust the fit as you go. You can use tracing paper, baking parchment, or thin wrapping paper – or we can supply you with spot and cross pattern paper to make the job even easier.

Suggested Fabrics: Choose a medium weight sweater fabric, teddy, french terry, or a mix of cotton, wool, polyester.
