This painting was started with an abstract expressionism style application of acrylic paint. The process of then applying collage and the addition of further layers is what inspires me. I can't wait to see what moments occur naturally. I let that and my intuition guide me in what to do after that. I have shared, by the title I chose, what I see in this piece but what the viewer sees is their own connection with the painting. I used acrylic paints due to its availability of colors, smoothness in texture, and ability to cover large areas. I used paint markers because of it graphic outcome, durability, and smoothness. I have developed an abstract expressionism style because it allows a total freedom and intuition for paint strokes. I have taken it a step further and have then contained the wildness with some graphic elements, while still allowing the image to mostly develop on its own.
