Gaviscon helps relieve the burning pain of heartburn and the discomfort of indigestion - helps protect inflamed oesophageal tissue - helps prevent further inflammation by forming a physical barrier to reflux.
The alginate "raft" helps keep gastric contents in place, thereby reducing the likelihood of these irritating the delicate lining of the oesophagus.
Active Ingredients:

Sodium alginate
Sodium bicarbonate
Calcium carbonate

Dosage:

Adults:
1 tablet as required, after meals and half an hour before going to bed at night, up to four times daily. A dose may be increased to a maximum of 2 tablets if required.

Warnings:
Do not lie down immediately after taking Gaviscon. Children under 12 years should seek medical advice. For temporary relief only. If symptoms persist consult your doctor.
