An authentic and exceptionally well-preserved example of early 20th-century Swiss watchmaking, this Zenith full hunter pocket watch dates to circa 1930 and represents a period when precision and craftsmanship were paramount. Retailed by John Newlands of Kilmarnock, it reflects the high standards expected from both maker and retailer.

This watch is defined by its remarkable condition. The white enamel dial remains exceptionally clean, free from the cracks and damage so often seen in pieces of this age. Bold Roman numerals and blued steel hands provide a timeless, highly legible display, complemented by a recessed small seconds register.

Movement

Inside is a Swiss Zenith manual-wind movement featuring a swan-neck regulator—an indicator of higher-grade construction and fine adjustment. Zenith, founded in 1865, was one of the most awarded manufacturers in early chronometry competitions, known for building movements focused on precision and longevity. The watch is running well and keeping time.

The full hunter case, constructed from two plates of 10ct gold with a composition layer between, remains in excellent condition with tight hinges and a strong crown. The inner dust cover provides added protection for the movement.
