Another stunner of a drawing capturing the wonders of nature--this an academic charcoal drawing signed and dated 1879, done by a student at the Philadelphia School of Design. I especially love that it was given trompe l'oeil treatment, as if a drawing of a drawing hung from a nail, with shadows cast along the right and bottom perimeter of the "page." Beautiful. 

20 3/4" x 16 3/8". Good condition, with some toning along the edges of the paper, I think just adding to the trompe l'oeil effect. Two tiny tears along bottom edge of paper, as documented. Signed and dated at upper right.
