This commemorative cover was issued for the 51st District Convention of Lions Clubs International, Multiple District 4 (California–Nevada), held in Anaheim, California from January 15–17, 1970. The cachet features an outline map of California and Nevada, overlaid with the Lions International emblem and a red-tipped cane, symbolizing the club’s service to the visually impaired. It bears the 6¢ “Hope for the Crippled” U.S. postage stamp, postmarked January 16, 1970, Anaheim, California. The reverse includes a Lions Club fundraising activity seal in magenta. A fine example of Lions Club philatelic material, combining organizational history with U.S. postal issues of the era.
