There’s not much Roussanne, one of the Rhone Valley’s premier white grapes, grown in California. Leave it to seventh-generation (not a typo!) winegrower Larry Mettler to figure out how to make it sing... in Lodi, of all places! This is rich and generous stuff, with aromas of toasted almonds and a palate of pears, white stone fruit, and honey. Give the Chard a rest and try this rich, full-bodied rarity instead. Only 250 cases made!
