The Red 5 de Deciembre network is the largest organization of producer in the La Cañada region in the state of Oaxaca. Over the last six years this group has been working to improve select harvesting and specialty processing of their higher value lots. About 90 families belonging to the Mazatec ethnic group make up San Isidro Zoquiápam, growing Typica, Bourbon, Caturra, and Mundo Novo at 1966 MASL.  Warm, rich, and earthy with a medium body and mild acidity with notes of white and red cherry, chocolate, and fresh tobacco leaf.
