It's not very often I come across a full plate tintype where the subject was posed in profile. And I find this quite a striking portrait, which feels, too, quite contemporary in its spareness. And the combination of her crisp white collar and the loose sleeves her dress evoke a judge in robe for me--and of course the Supreme Court is on my mind! With a very earnest looking face and seeming almost to be biting her lower lip--as if deliberating! To my sensibilities, quite a nice one to keep company with. 

9 1/16" x 7" and in good condition, with very small minor bend to upper right far corner and small minor bend/scratch at lower left--not at all detracting.
