This is an abstract piece that is bold in line and color. The negative space between the lines have a depth to them, while still be muted. Danielle describes the process, “I layered ink and acrylic and lastly pastel for the lines. My inspiration originally for this painting was a sunset. The original idea didn’t work for me, so I let go and drew lines that felt fluid and unforced. I lightly covered the ink to allow it to show through, dulling the vibrancy.
