We have fallen in love with the stunning yarns from Knitting for Olive. The colors are designed to be paired with other Knitting for Olive bases though we really appreciate the visual texture of combining slightly different colors together.

This cashmere is a soft, exclusive lace weight yarn which can be worked alone for a super soft and luxurious result. Or it can be worked together with other yarn like Merino, as an alternative to Soft Silk Mohair, for a soft and smooth finish. 

The cashmere comes from goats in Mongolia and China. In Mongolia the goats move free in the grasslands with their herdsmen who live as nomads. In China the goats are kept and fed on farms from winter until rain falls and makes the grassland green. When the grass is long enough, the animals are let free during the day and return to the farms for the night. The farms and herdsmen are visited twice a year to ensure that the animals are kept and treated respectfully.
