The Trial of Andres Bonifacio is the first published edition of the original Tagalog documents from Bonifacio’s arrest, trial, and execution in May 1897, translated by Virginia Palma-Bonifacio and introduced by Carlos Quirino. The documents, captured by American forces in 1899 and held in Washington for decades before being returned to the Philippines, record the interrogations, the inventory of confiscated arms, and the military tribunal that condemned the Katipunan’s founder on charges his supporters have disputed ever since.
