Issued in 1961, this striking two-stamp set from Austria commemorates 15 years of the nationalized electricity industry.

• The 1 Schilling stamp (blue) depicts the Kaprun–Mooserboden hydropower dam in the High Tauern mountains, a symbol of postwar reconstruction and Austrian engineering might.

• The 1.50 Schilling stamp (purple) features the Ybbs-Persenbeug hydroelectric plant on the Danube River, a major project by Österreichische Donaukraftwerke AG.
  Designed by A. Pilch with engravings by R. Toth and G. Wimmer, these stamps highlight the infrastructure driving Austria’s energy independence.
  They are part of a series celebrating the nationalized electrical industry’s contributions to modern Austria.
