Such a fun one, and I believe the JNC who made this box from scratch took their horseshoe throwing very seriously! Painted with a big mossy green horseshoe on each side--I might guess by using the actual horseshoes as templates. And inside, there they are, heavy iron ones, in silver, with what look to me like marching feet at their ends. JNC constructed mounts for holding and locking them in place--one of which still does the job, the other seems to have lost its bolts, but they could be easily replaced. Very sweet, and definitely inspiration for hosting a backyard horseshoe throwing game--or taking it on the road! 

9" w x 9 3/4" t x 4" d and in good shape, One hook for locking the box missing, but the other holds it closed just fine.
