The deposit was discovered in the late 90s and was completely mined out three years later. This 5.68-carat gem represents some of the finest material found. It is almost completely flawless, which in itself is extremely rare for red or pink tourmaline, and has been expertly cut with concave facets to maximize the flash and brilliance of the gem.
