So curious. This one keeps reminding me of the sort of larger than life hunting scene diorama one might find at a Bass Pro Shop, complete with taxidermy stag running though a forest--a grand fiction. It's the people standing to the right in the background, looking rather like tourists, watching this hunter in action, that do it--making the whole forest seem like a movie set. And looking closely, there are a few cars visible through the trees at left. One wonders what prey is just outside the frame! I'm pretty obsessed with this one, which also feels very very American.
