The A70 (Mk3) Supra used two different types of key blanks during its production run. We only sell the "Double Groove" type.

To ensure this key is correct for your car, you must compare your existing key to our product photos. The vehicle year alone is not a perfect guide, as there was a crossover period, one-off cases and swapped/updated locks.

• ✅ THIS KEY (Double Groove):

  • This is the key we are selling.

  • Fits most 1989 - 1992 models.

  • Easily identified by the "double groove" or slot that runs down the center of the blade (see product photo).

  • Equivalent replacement for Toyota Part Number 90999-00153

• ❌ OTHER TYPE (Single Groove):

  • Does not fit the "Single Groove" key (found on most 1986.5 - 1990 models).

  • This key blade is solid and does not have a slot milled down the center.

  • Equivalent replacement for Toyota Part Number 90999-00212

This "Double Groove" key will not fit a car that uses the "Single Groove" (solid) key. Please verify your key style before purchasing to avoid errors.

Cutting the key: 

• The key 'blade' section that is cut by the locksmith is made from the normal coated nickel-brass (not titanium), this means no increased wear on your locks and ignition. This also means you can take it to any Qualified Locksmith for cutting like a normal key blank.

• It’s better to get the locksmith to cut the key to 'code' and not 'copied' from the old worn-out key, because this can cause issues. Your car's key 'code' can be 'de-coded' from your existing key, it can also be found printed on the OEM key blade and the door lock barrel, you can also get it from the VIN number at a dealer or certain locksmiths.
