To state the obvious, what I find is very much product of where I go; recently I've been feeling inclined to visit shops I haven't stopped at in quite a long time, and remembering that there are things to be found everywhere! This enameled plate was produced by Vallenti, Italy, 1960s--very mid-century, and just terrific orange, but I also like how architectural the surface design feels, as if a map of streets emanating from a park or plaza, and with a nice energy to it that makes me think a bit of Stuart Davis. Not to make too much of it, but I think it is really quite nice!
