The Emory Writing Program is committed to research in the fields of rhetoric and composition and serves the university community by providing courses, programming, and instructional resources that enable students to write effectively, think critically, and develop rhetorical awareness about print, visual, oral, and digital texts. Enable the development of theoretically informed and pedagogically grounded first-year writing instructors. Enable faculty across the disciplines to incorporate writing as a learning tool into their courses and to offer instruction for students learning to communicate through disciplinary genres.
