As a child, I spent time living with my family in Bolivia, a country full of snowy Andean peaks and so Mountains always evoke distant intangible memories and feelings in me. The photo of this mountain was a quick snap taken through the car window as we sped along the countryside in Iceland in November. The ground was blurry and the colours of autumn faded into a muted winter palette. When painting, however, I like to emphasise the colours and feel the warmth of summer in my imagination.
