Based on a real Kimono held in one of the world's greatest museums, this artwork was digitised from the original from the 17th Century and recreated on real leather. This image is printed directly to the leather. What appears to be some pixelation from the image is actually the same image design from the original images, as these kimonos are of course embroidery which has a particular level of accuracy, or pixel size in effect, of the width of the cotton.
