This whalebone sidesaddle whip has a silver cap and collar 
Both are stamped "St. Sil" this is not a British mark for sterling silver - it could be Australian or American
The cap has a flared shape and a ring for a wrist strap.

There are three solder marks on the top of the cap - possibly a badge or further decoration was once attached to it.
The collar is engraved with the initials "PJSB".
Between the cap and collar, the grip is covered in brown leather with a very finely stitched seam.

The flexible stock is covered in braided linen or hemp, it has a gentle bend in it.

The whip has its original lash at its end..
