There are some serious still bank experts out there, which is definitely not me, but I just sort of fell in love with this little tin one. I know it's a pretty rare one, dating to the 1880’s or so, with its original paint and “Elm City National Bank” stenciled in gold on the front.  I particularly love that the chimney serves as the coin drop!

4" tall x 3 1/8" wide x 1 3/4" deep. Red and black surface paint with gold gilt stenciling on the front. No cracks, breaks, chips, or repairs. There is minor bending to the front of the roof, which I'd guess is where coins would be dumped out, though paint along the roof line on one short side seems to prevent it from  opening. The majority of black paint on the roof remains, as do significant amounts of the red paint on the sides; there is wear to the red paint and the gold gilt stenciling on the front.
