Effects of this medicine
・This medicine inhibits the terminal step in gastric acid secretion, called proton-pump, and reduces the secretion of gastric acid in your stomach.
・It is usually used to treat: gastric/anastomotic/duodenal ulcers, reflux esophagitis, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Also used for maintenance therapy to prevent the recurrence of reflux esophagitis.
・Other purposes: used for eradication of Helicobacter pylori that causes gastric/duodenal ulcers, gastric MALT lymphoma, idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP), the stomach after endoscopic resection of early stage gastric cancer, and Helicobacter pylori gastritis, in combination with 2 other antibiotics.
Dosing schedule (How to take this medicine)
・To treat gastric/anastomotic/duodenal ulcers, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, reflux esophagitis: In general, for adults, take 2 tablets (20 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, once a day. The usual duration of administration is up to 8 weeks for gastric/anastomotic ulcers and reflux esophagitis, and up to 6 weeks for duodenal ulcer. ・Strictly follow the instructions.
・To treat non-erosive reflux disease: In general, for adults, take 1 tablet (10 mg of the active ingredient) at a time, once a day. The usual duration of administration is up to 4 weeks. Strictly follow the instructions.
・For maintenance therapy to prevent the recurrence of reflux esophagitis: In general, for adults, take 10 to 20 mg of the active ingredient at a time, once a day. This preparation contains 20 mg of the active ingredient in a tablet. Strictly follow the instructions.
・For eradication of Helicobacter pylori: In general, for adults, take 2 tablets (20 mg of the active ingredient) concomitantly with 750 mg of amoxicillin hydrate and 200 mg or 400 mg of clarithromycin at a time, twice a day.
・If it was insufficient, in general, take 2 tablets (20 mg of the active ingredient) concomitantly with 750 mg of amoxicillin hydrate and 250 mg of metronidazole at a time, twice a day as an alternative. Strictly follow the instructions.
・Take the tablet without chewing or crushing, since it is enteric-coated tablet.
・If you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as possible. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and follow your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time.

・If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines or foods.
・If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
・If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)
Storage conditions and other information
・Keep out of the reach of children. Store away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture.
・Discard the remainder. Do not store them. If you do not know how to dispose of the unused medicines, seek advice of your pharmacy or medical institution. Do not give the unused medicines to others.
