The Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team (SKAT) is the aerobatics demonstration team of the Indian Air Force. It is a formation of 9 aircrafts. Established in 1996, the team has been enthralling audiences with their precision aerial maneuvers and formations. The term "Surya Kiran" translates to "Sun Rays" in English, an apt name for a team that shines brightly with its performances in the sky.

Initially, the team flew Kiran Mk-II aircraft, but later upgraded to the more advanced Hawk Mk-132 aircraft, a change that allowed for a broader range of aerial maneuvers.

The SuryaKiran team has performed at numerous air shows both in India and abroad, showcasing the skills and capabilities of the Indian Air Force.
