A beautifully composed vintage butterfly and moth display, featuring a curated arrangement of specimens including a striking central Atlas moth, surrounded by a variety of labelled species. The layout has a classic natural history museum aesthetic, with printed specimen names adding an academic, collector’s feel.

The specimens show a range of soft, muted tones—creams, browns, pale greens and warm oranges—giving the piece a refined, slightly faded palette that works effortlessly in interiors leaning toward dark academia, curiosity cabinet, or old world decor.

Housed in a simple wooden frame with glass front, the piece has a warm, understated presentation that lets the specimens take centre stage. The reverse shows an older backing board with hanging wire in place, ready to display.

There are visible signs of age throughout, minor wear to wings, and general ageing to the backing and frame. These are typical for vintage entomology displays and add to its authenticity and character.
