Plantago contains several active compounds such as flavonoids, polysaccharides, terpenoids, and lipids which are believed to be beneficial for various conditions such as: bee stings, insect bites, bronchitis and other lung ailments, diarrhea and cystitis. It is diuretic. It may also help stop bleeding.
