The 3 carat lapis Lazuli is 11mm long x 6mm wide and is 6mm thick. It's set into a fine silver bezel and on a talisman like sterling silver base that's been antiqued to give it an edge.

I bought the lapis from a small family business based in Brighton who mine & cut all of their own gemstones in Pakistan. It's a truly remarkable gemstone with a blue that I've never seen outside of Afghanistan. The golden swirls in it are also fabulous.

I came up with the design as a talisman to protect the wearer as it reminds me of Egyptian jewellery of old. Lapis is highly prized and this quality very very rare. I've capture the setting using different necklaces because I was unsure which suited it the best.
