Olympic chain collars built to attach chains, bands and accessories to a standard 50 mm bar sleeve. Each collar clamps to the sleeve with a screw clamp, and the secured bolt doubles as the closed eyelet where the load hangs. No moving parts, no rattle, nothing that can come loose. The 4 kg pair is the connecting link that turns a plain powerlifting bar into a Westside-style setup in under a minute.
The primary use is hanging chains for accommodating resistance training. If your chains do not ship with their own end collars, often the case with DIY or budget chain sets, these collars form the connection between chain and Olympic sleeve. Chain through the screw eyelet, bar loaded as usual, chain rides off the sleeve through the lift. Strength Shop's chain pairs come with built-in end collars, so for those this attachment is not required.
Beyond chains, the same barbell attachment accepts resistance bands for secure banded bench, banded squat and good morning work. Pairs well with a powerlifting barbell and the chain or band kit you already use.
Do I need these for Strength Shop chains?
No. The 5 kg and 20 kg chain pairs in the shop come with their own built-in end collars that attach directly to the Olympic sleeve. These chain collars are for chains without end collars or for upgrading other setups.
Does the collar weight count as added bar load?
Yes. The pair adds 4 kg to the total bar weight (2 kg per collar). Worth noting on very heavy attempts where every kilogram is tracked.
Do they fit any Olympic barbell?
The screw clamp is sized for the Olympic 50 mm standard sleeve. Standard powerlifting and weightlifting bars fit. The screw mechanism also holds firm on bars where the sleeve measures slightly under 50 mm due to wear or production tolerance, similar to how screw plate collars work on older bars.
