Tatara Masamune closed comb is a luxury razor created for the quality-conscious user who wants a smooth and comfortable shave - without compromise. It is the first Shaver in Tatara's range and a testament to their uncompromising approach to precision, function and aesthetics.

The razor is CNC-turned from one solid piece of stainless steel and manufactured with an extreme tolerance of only 0.02 mm. This allows for a completely precise interaction between the parts and ensures that the blade always fits exactly - without vibration and with maximum stability.

Masamune is inspired by the classic safety razor design, but infused with a modern, futuristic elegance that is reflected in the simple and refined design language. The matte surface emphasizes the minimalist look and feels solid and comfortable in the hand.

The closed comb makes this version of the scraper extra gentle. The small blade gap of 0.63 mm and blade exposure of -0.13 mm provide a gentle but still effective shave. Small grooves in the base plate help protect the skin and make the shaver particularly suitable for sensitive skin or daily shaving.

The weight of the razor provides a natural propulsion over the skin so you don't need to apply pressure - you can simply let the weight do the work while you control it precisely and comfortably.

If at some point you want a more aggressive shave, you can combine this Shaver with a Nodachi Top Blade and change the blade exposure to 0.0 mm.

This version is made of matte stainless steel and is also available in a dark version if you want a more distinctive look.
