This 6-cent postage and revenue stamp from Ceylon (now Sri Lanka) was issued in 1935 to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of King George V (1910–1935). The design features a detailed portrait of King George V in state robes and crown, framed by an ornamental border, with the dates “1910–1935” inscribed above. The left side of the stamp depicts the majestic Windsor Castle, one of Britain’s most iconic royal residences, engraved in striking blue. This issue is part of the celebrated Silver Jubilee omnibus series shared across the British Empire, showcasing uniform royal themes adapted for each colony.
