Doug Fleenor Design MARCONI-TX Wireless DMX Transmitter

The Marconi wireless system from Doug Fleenor Design allows DMX512 distribution where cabling is not practical. Doug Fleenor believes cable is more reliable than wireless, but recognizes the advantages of wireless systems such as quicker setup, building top to building top (or cross river) communications, fewer wires to tape down, as a backup to a cable link, for troubleshooting, for focusing before the FOH cables are installed, and so on. The Marconi transmitter (Marconi TX) sends 512 DMX channels (one universe) wirelessly to any number of W -DMX receivers. Up to 16 transmitters can be used in a single venue for at total of 8,192 DMX channels. The Marconi TX can be table top or truss mounted (with a C clamp or half coupler). A 2 dB rubber whip antenna is standard. Gain antennas are available to increase transmission range. The attached power supply operates from 100 to 240 volts AC.
