Effects of this medicine This medicine suppresses allergic symptoms such as itchy/bloodshot eyes by histamine H1-receptor antagonism and suppressing release of allergy-causing substances such as histamine. It is usually used to treat allergic conjunctivitis.. Dosing schedule (How to take this medicine) ・In general, apply 1 drop at a time, 2 times a day (morning and evening). Strictly follow the instructions. ・In order to reduce occurrence of itchy eyes, it is important to continue applying this medicine as instructed, either with or without symptoms during treatment. ・Before applying, wash your hands thoroughly with soap and running water. Pull down your lower eyelid lightly and apply the medicine. Be careful not to touch the dropper tip to your eyelid, eyelashes, or eye. After applying, keep your eyes closed without blinking for a while (1 to 5 minutes), and apply gentle pressure to your tear ducts (located in the inner corners of the eyes) with your fingertips. Wipe off any excess liquid gently with clean gauze or a tissue immediately. If you need to apply other eye drops at the same time, wait more than 5 minutes. ・If you miss a dose, apply the missed dose as soon as possible.
