This commemorative miniature sheet was issued by Russia in 2006 to celebrate the 165th anniversary of Sberbank, Russia's oldest and largest savings bank. The featured stamp (15 rubles) honors Nikolai Antonovich Kristofari (1802–1881), the first depositor of the first Russian savings bank. His portrait is centrally depicted, while the background design showcases the historic building of Sberbank. Elegant calligraphy highlights the “165 лет” (165 years) inscription.
