For metal or plastic kettles:
- Fill the kettle halfway with water and bring it to a boil.
- Place the kettle in a sink, just in case of excess fizzing.
- Add one measure of Kilrock-K and let it sit for 5 minutes or until the fizzing subsides.
- Discard the contents, boil the kettle again, discard, and rinse before reuse. Clean up any spills.

 

For shower heads:
- Mix one part Kilrock-K with 8 parts warm water in a bowl.
- Immerse the shower head in the solution until the fizzing stops.
- Rinse the head and bowl with cold water before reuse.

 

For coffee makers:
- Follow the manufacturer's instructions.
- Mix one part Kilrock-K with 8 parts warm water and carefully add it to the appliance reservoir.
- Turn on and operate the coffee maker as usual.
- Empty and repeat the process twice with clean water.

For steam irons:
- Mix one part Kilrock with 8 parts warm water in a jug.
- Warm the iron and unplug it.
- Pour the solution into the iron's chamber to the normal level.
- Place an upturned saucer in a plastic bowl and rest the iron, soleplate down, on the saucer.
- Press the steam button until all the solution is used.
- Repeat the process with cold water.
- Wipe the soleplate and iron clean before using.

For WC pans:
- Add 1 litre of hot tap water to the pan.
- Pour 2 measures of Kilrock-K into the pan.
- Leave until the fizzing stops.
- Brush and flush.
