A limited edition inspired by a classic navigation instrument

The BR 03-92 Radiocompass, which takes its name from a radionavigation tool, the Radio Compass, is distinguished by its original coloured hands that guarantee optimal readability. Both modern and whimsical, this new tool watch joins the iconic Flight Instruments collection from Bell & Ross — a family of limited editions created in 2010 which directly incorporate air navigation tools into genuine horological pieces. 

Crafted in a 42mm matte black ceramic case, this highly technical watch takes the name of the Radio Compass, an on-board radio receiver which defines the position and direction of an aircraft via beacons on the ground. This indispensable navigation tool guides pilots regardless of the visibility. It allows particularly to fly at night, in the fog or in the rain.

Like the instrument that inspires it, the unique design of the BR-03-92 Radiocompass comes from its very unusual hands, which also co-opt three complimentary colors (orange for the hour, yellow for the minutes, and green for seconds), whose bright fluorescent tones and luminous paint provide great contrast against the matte black of the dial. 

Bell & Ross started creating watches inspired by aeronautical and military instruments in 1994. And since then, the brand has become an essential reference in the field of professional aviation watches, with models drawing direct inspiration from the design and innovations found in on-board cockpit instruments.
