About Pressure Buildup

Clawhammer's column stills are designed to operate with minimal pressure when used with an open or lightly packed column. However, unforeseen issues can arise, such as blockages in the vapor or liquid flow paths. These blockages can lead to a dangerous buildup of pressure within the still boiler, significantly increasing the risk of an explosion.

Clawhammer's 8 gallon stainless steel still comes with a built-in, industry leading 5psi pressure relief safety valve and an additional port for this optional distilling pressure gauge.
