About the product: Lost Lantern hand-selected this cask from Brooklyn-based New York Distilling Co., one of the country’s first and finest urban distilleries and a champion of the rebirth of gin and rye whiskey in the Empire State. This is our first release from the distillery, which was our very first rye whiskey partner, since 2021. This special release, made from 72% rye, 16% corn, and 12% malted barley, was aged for a full ten years in New York State, making it tied for our oldest rye whiskey ever and one of the oldest New York whiskies ever released. The nose has rich notes of lemon custard, fresh mint, lemon verbena, leather, and dense oak. The palate bursts with notes of rich dark chocolate, mint brownies, and cinnamon-frosted babka. Remarkably fresh, deep, and complex.
