The Liberty AV COMET-UPAAF-M USB 2.0 Cable, Black is designed to extend USB 2.0 signals using a plenum-rated Active Optical hybrid cable assembly. By incorporating active circuitry within the permanent USB connectors, this solution enables the transmission of USB signals over fixed-length cables ranging from 8 meters to 40 meters. These cables can supply USB 2.0 power up to 0.5W over distances of up to 25 meters, supporting data transfer rates of up to 480Mbps. Being a hybrid fiber optic cable, the COMET-UPAAF-M is impervious to electromagnetic (EM) and radio frequency (RF) interference, safeguarding the signal integrity and ensuring minimal interference with other electronic devices. It's important to note that the USB A male to A female format deviates from the standard USB-approved configurations. The A to A female connection serves to extend from the Host, with a subsequent USB A-B or A-C cable required on the Client side to establish the appropriate connection. Notably, this cable operates unidirectionally, facilitating communication solely in the conventional USB Host to Client mode. To optimize performance, it is recommended to keep the connecting cable on the Client side under 1 meter in length. Prior to deployment, it is advisable to conduct bench testing to validate the configuration.
