With the woman he loves still trapped in a coma, psychiatrist and criminal profiler Doctor Alex Gregory is starting to lose hope that she’ll ever come back to him. Desperate for a distraction, he takes on a new case at the behest of the Los Angeles Police Department. It’s a long way from home, but he agrees to profile whoever is responsible for sending threatening letters to beautiful starlet Mia Mendoza, who’s refusing to film her latest romantic comedy until the letters stop.
