Designed by Michel Arnoult in the 1960s, this sofa reflects the designer’s commitment to clarity of structure and functional modernism. The frame is crafted in solid Imbuia hardwood, a Brazilian timber prized for its rich tone and expressive grain, articulated through a restrained architectural form with slender legs and linear armrests.

The seating consists of three loose cushions, recently reupholstered in leather, providing both comfort and a clean visual continuity across the seat and back. The open frame construction highlights the material presence of the wood while maintaining the lightness characteristic of Brazilian modern design.

The piece has been carefully refurbished, with the Imbuia frame restored and the upholstery renewed, preserving the integrity of the original design while ensuring durability for contemporary use.
